The annual Día de los Muertos exhibition at the LCC is designed to celebrate the lives of passed loved ones. The exhibition invites community members, organizations, and artists to share their own unique altares. Submissions can be traditional or can have a modern interpretation, as long as it stays respectful to the culture. Altares cannot exceed 6ft in height, 6ft in width, and 4ft in depth. Perishable food will not be permitted but pre-packaged items are acceptable (ex. unopened candies, chips, etc.) Candles are also acceptable but cannot be lit. *If needed LCC can provided tables but are limited.
Spanish: (La exposición anual del Día de Muertos en el LCC está diseñada para celebrar las vidas de los seres queridos fallecidos. La exposición invita a miembros de la comunidad, organizaciones y artistas a compartir sus propios altares únicos. Las presentaciones pueden ser tradicionales o tener una interpretación moderna, siempre y cuando se mantengan respetuosas con la cultura. Los altares no pueden exceder los 6 pies de altura, 6 pies de ancho y 4 pies de profundidad. No se permitirá comida perecedera, pero se aceptarán artículos preenvasados (por ejemplo, dulces sin abrir, papas fritas, etc.). Las velas también son aceptables, pero no pueden estar encendidas. *Si es necesario, el LCC puede proporcionar mesas, pero son limitadas.)
