Free Workshop for Adults – Be part of an art piece during the FIFA World Cup 2026!

The Bath House Cultural Center and the Latino Cultural Center invite you to a series of workshops inspired by Mexican artist Betsabeé Romero. Participants will create pieces for a collaborative installation that transforms sculpted soccer goalposts with community-woven nets, celebrating art, culture, sports, and unity across borders.

The LCC Talleres Workshop Series
The Latino Cultural Center’s Talleres workshop series is designed to deliver enriching educational experiences that foster creativity, cultural appreciation, and community engagement. These workshops are led by professional, practicing artists who guide participants through artistic techniques and skills in a progressive format. Each session introduces new processes and methods relevant to the featured artistic medium, offering participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding and refine their craft under expert instruction. Open to participants age 15 and up who can attend all sessions.

LCC Talleres provides free, accessible programming for individuals of all backgrounds, and abilities, ensuring that art remains an inclusive and educational resource for the community.


May 2, 2025 – May 23, 2026
NATASHA VEGA – HANDMADE PAPER MAKING WORKSHOP
Handmade Paper Making with Creative Embellishments for Adults led by paper artist Natasha Vega offers a hands-on experience in crafting unique paper using simple, accessible techniques. Participants will learn the history of papermaking while exploring creative possibilities through various materials and decorative elements. By the end of the class, attendees will create their own handmade paper and gain the skills to continue experimenting independently. All materials are provided for this workshop.



August 8 – August 29, 2026
ST. PRIMO – LATINO CREATORS: A MULTI WORKSHOP FOR EMERGING FILMMAKERS
This four-part workshop series introduces participants to essential filmmaking skills while celebrating Latino creativity and cultural storytelling. Each session focuses on a unique discipline including producing, makeup FX, screenwriting, and professional insight, providing hands-on training and direct access to experienced Latino filmmakers. Designedand led by nonprofit organization, St, Primo, the series strengthens cultural representation within the Dallas film community.


Texas Folklife and the Latino Cultural Center are partnering to launch the Roots & Rhythms Workshop Series celebrating the living traditions of Texas’ diverse communities through storytelling, music, dance, and visual arts. Each workshop in the program highlights preservation and innovation, allowing community members of all ages to engage with tradition bearers, learn about folk art practices, and experience cultural heritage first-hand.

Texas Folklife’s mission is to preserve and present the folk and traditional arts of Texas while creating inclusive spaces for intergenerational exchange, cultural education, and community pride. Each program will run 2–3 hours and will be offered on select dates for 2026 at the Latino Cultural Center.


February 28, 2026 – Storytelling & Oral Traditions (12 p.m. – 3 p.m)
Community tradition bearers share folktales, personal narratives, and myths focusing on intergenerational exchange and bilingual storytelling. Interactive activity: participants create a “community story quilt” with words and drawings.

April 11, 2026 – Visual Folk Art (12 p.m. – 3 p.m)
Hands-on ceramics workshop emphasizing how folk art reflects identity and place through sculpture.
