LCC SPECIAL PROJECTS
The Latino Cultural Center launched a pilot program for a small workshop series. Proposals were received for workshops that promote our Latino cultural heritage or fundamental basics that include, but not limited to visual arts, dance, theatre, and music. The series should end with a concluded project or a summary of the workshop, examples include displays and/or small performance.

February 22 – March 15, 2025
LUCAS MARTELL – WATERCOLOR SERIES
Lucas Martell, a local Dallas Artist and Arts Professor, will guide participants on the fundamentals of watercolor. Through this series, participants will learn basic watercolor technique, color theory, and design compositions.

May 10, 2025 – May 31, 2025
REPRESENTA FOUNDATION-DANCE WORKSHOP
The Representa Foundation is dedicated to promoting Latin American culture through dance, music, and theater programs. Their mission is to promote the rich Latin American heritage to the next generation, making cultural education accessible to all. Workshops will focus on dance and music, ensuring an immersive, hands-on experience for participants. Registration opens on March 1, 2025.

July 12 – August 2, 2025
GEORGE ROSALY- DIGITAL ART
Participants will embark on a creative journey blending digital art and mixed-media techniques. Under the guidance of artist George Rosaly, they will learn digital illustration, storytelling, and hands-on methods to enhance their artworks. The program concludes with a professionally curated exhibition featuring participants’ works. Registration opens on April 5, 2025.

August 16 – September 6, 2025
FOR THE CITY DALLAS- STAND-UP COMEDY SERIES
The purpose of this workshop series at Latino Cultural Center is not to make you professional comedians or award-winning storytellers! This series of workshops will of guide participants through comedy writing and storytelling while working with local comedians. At the end, participants will feel confident to perform an for an open mic or short story. Registration opens on June 7, 2025.
