Jazzamoart

The Goals of Painting explores the vibrant intersection of art and soccer through the work of renowned Mexican artist Jazzamoart. His connection to the sport as an artistic theme began in 1986, when the National Institute of Fine Arts invited artists to create works for the FIFA World Cup in Mexico. This exhibition reflects on soccer as more than a game and focuses on the global phenomenon that unites cultures, sparks dialogue and inspires creativity. Jazzamoart (Javier Vázquez Estupiñán) was born in Irapuato, Guanajuato and is an interdisciplinary artist whose career in Mexico began in the 1970s. His art has focused on relationship between music and painting using a vibrant color palette, creating a style of his own. The exhibition is curated by Elena Catalan.
