Call for proposals: Summer Camp at the Latino Cultural Center (LCC)
3 weeks total program between June 1 and June 19, 2027 (Monday – Friday) between 9 am – 4 pm
The Latino Cultural Center is seeking arts educators and organizations in the following disciplines: muralists/visual artists, photography, poetry/improv, and sculpting to produce a Latino Cultural Center Summer Camp. Proposals must include curriculum geared exclusively for the youth, ages 11-14. Camp proposals should be built around providing cultural and artistic workshops/activities that include, but not limited to visual arts disciplines, performance, and music. Proposals will be accepted beginning in December 2026 through February 1, 2027.
3-4 artist, artist collective or arts non-profit will be selected to provide programs ranging 4-5 days. Upon selection, the awardee will finalize scheduling arrangements with the Center’s Education Coordinator. LCC Summer Camp will begin on Monday, June 1st and will conclude on Friday, June 19th (Camp will take place Monday – Friday from 9 am – 4 pm)
A culminating presentation may be programmed for parents to attend once the activity has completed.
Award
Selected artists, organization or group will receive an honorarium award of $3,000 for the service.

Guidelines:
• Applicants must submit a description of the curriculum.
• Applicants will be required to submit a final report once all services have been provided.
• Applicants may only submit one application. Multiple proposals from the same applying organization will not be accepted.
• Insurance may be required of artists and organizations recommended for funding and contracting with the City of Dallas
Submittable Materials:
All supplemental materials submitted should reflect the quality of your artistic output. Poorly produced supplementary materials can negatively affect your application. Supplemental materials should include the following: Sample teaching curriculum – Photos/videos – Web links to work samples showcasing the artist’s work, or previous camp experiences.
